European stocks were little changed as gains among food and beverage producers and health-care companies were offset by a loss from European Aeronautic, Defence & Space Co - the owner of planemaker Airbus SAS. EADS fell 2.8 percent and scrapped its dividend.

Hong Kong stocks rose as China Life Insurance Co. said 2009 profit may have grown more than threefold, countering a drop in metals and oil prices. China Life, the nation’s largest insurer, advanced 3 percent while its rival Ping An Insurance (Group) Co. rose 2.9 percent.
